37 students Bag first class in EKSU Convocation Ceremony

No fewer than 37 students of Ekiti State University , Ado Ekiti , will be awarded first class degrees during this year ’ s convocation ceremony .
The Vice Chancellor of EKSU , Prof . Samuel Bandele , stated this on Monday at a pre - convocation press conference in Ado Ekiti .
About 10 , 206 students will bag first degrees while another 398 will receive postgraduate degrees .
Bandele said part of his vision for EKSU was to introduce Computer Based Testing for most examinations to curb exorbitant paper wastages , examination malpractices and supervision bottlenecks .
He added that EKSU had succeeded in retrieving a substantial part of students ’ results from 2010 till date .
“ The implication of this is that the institution has the capacity to issue out transcripts online for those students that graduated from 2010 till date without any delay , while efforts are on top gear in retrieving those results from 1986 to 2009 to enable the university digitalise its records , ” he said .
Bandele added that the university was gradually becoming a residential institution with the ongoing construction of 20 , 000 bed - space capacity hostel and the recent accommodation of some students in a newly constructed hostel .
